Looking for the right class to start with? Aikido of Park Slope offers over 20 martial arts classes each week for adults, kids, teens, and beginners at our Brooklyn dojo.
If you are new to APS, we recommend starting with a free trial class. We will help you choose the right class for your age, experience level, and schedule.

Use the schedule below to see current class times. If you are new, you do not need to figure it out alone. Fill out the trial form and we will help you choose a good first class.
NEW TO AIKIDO?
You do not need prior martial arts experience to begin.
For your first class, wear comfortable clothes you can move in. Aikido is practiced barefoot. We will help you get oriented when you arrive, introduce you to the instructor, and make sure you know what to expect before stepping onto the mat. The best first step is a free trial class.

ADULT AIKIDO CLASSES
Open to beginners and experienced practitioners alike.
We offer multiple adult Aikido classes throughout the week. Classes are open to beginners, returning students, and experienced practitioners.
Adult classes focus on movement, balance, awareness, safe falling and rolling, partner practice, and practical self-defense through the nonviolent principles of Aikido. If you are new to martial arts, you are welcome here. Start with a free adult trial class and we will help you choose the right class.
KIDS & TEENS AIKIDO CLASSES
A safe, structured introduction to martial arts.
Our kids and teens classes give young students a safe, structured introduction to martial arts. Through age-appropriate instruction, students build confidence, coordination, focus, respect, discipline, and safe movement skills.
If you are not sure which class is right for your child, start with a free kids or teens trial class. We will help you choose the best fit.

JODO · TRADITIONAL WEAPONS
Precision, timing, and attention to form.
We also offer a traditional weapons class in Jodo, the art of the wooden staff. This practice cultivates precision, timing, focus, and attention to form, complementing open-hand Aikido training.
If you are new to APS and interested in weapons training, contact us or ask after your trial class so we can help you find the right place to begin.
